The All on 4 treatment protocol was conceived and popularized by the great Portuguese Surgeon Professor Paulo Malo. This is a method of full mouth rehabilitation which involves giving you a brand-new set of teeth on the same day or the day after.
Suitable candidates for the All on 4 include those who:
It is an extremely popular way of giving you a brand-new smile on the very same day or the day after.
We offers a comprehensive range of dental specialists to address various dental concerns effectively
Our experienced surgeons will consult with you to determine your objectives for this treatment. We then take clinical records including:
All of which allows us to determine whether you are suitable for the All on 4 procedure.
This can be done under local anaesthesia, intravenous sedation or in a general anaesthesia setting. We will remove the existing teeth you have and place 4 strategically positioned implant in your jaw. A 3D Scan of your jaw is taken which is automatically sent to our laboratory to fabricate your immediate prosthesis.
After surgery, you will be required to rest with specific instructions on diet and post-operative healing. Later on the day of surgery, or the day after; we will fix your temporary bridge over the 4 dental implants placed earlier. This bridge is a full set of natural looking teeth fixed into your jaw. You will be able to smile, talk and eat naturally after this.
After 3 to 6 months, we will remove the temporary bridge and fabricate a permanent fixed bridge for you. The permanent bridge is usually made from ceramic supported by a titanium bar connecting your implants. This mimics natural teeth like nothing else in the dental world. You will have a permanent, fully functional set of beautiful teeth.
Life transforming treatment which is permanent. You will enjoy renewed confidence socially, eating and speaking.
Can be completed relatively quickly depending on which type of treatment is used. Typically, the All on 4 bridge is delivered within a day or on the same day as treatment.
Strong, sound teeth available for chewing improves your nutrition and general health and well being.
Having done this over the course of many years, our patients do not report much discomfort or pain after the procedure. The usual response is that it is a little tender or “raw” on the day of surgery but by the next day our patients are fine, may resume activities and do not need require pain relief.
Over the years, Ashford dentists have undergone training and have substantial experience in the All on 4 procedure.Ashford dentists are all trained to perform dental implants
Even our nurses have undergone specialized training to nurse for and assist in surgical procedures. Our clinical director Dr Hardev Singh was in fact taught by the famous pioneer of the All on 4, Professor Paulo Malo in Portugal. Hence his ability to understand the concepts, the biology and prosthetics of the procedure has been passed down directly from the legendary surgeon himself.Ashford has specific equipment which allows us to image the thickness and length of bone which further enables us to select the optimal implant for you. It also allows us to place our implants with surgical precision. Our facilities in Upper Thomson Rd, Upper Serangoon Rd and Bedok Rd are registered day surgery centers which means we can perform the implant procedure under intra venous sedation if you wish.
The All-on-4 treatment concept typically combines surgery and prosthetic restoration into a single treatment session. Two vertical implants are placed in the front area (typically lateral incisor) and two angled implants in the back region (2nd premolar).
The procedure involves restoring the upper or lower jaw with a fixed prosthesis using four implants in the front of the upper jaw, where the bone is denser, whether the patient is edentulous or still has teeth.
These implants have a success rate exceeding 99.2% and have demonstrated clinical success for more than 18 years. It is highly improbable that your All-on-4 dental implant restoration will fail.
By maintaining proper care and practicing good oral hygiene, the prosthesis connected to All-on-4 implants is expected to remain functional for a minimum of 10 to 15 years.
A standard All on 4 denture generally has fourteen teeth which consist of 4 incisors, 4 premolars, 2 canines, and 4 molars. These implants are created to support a full set of 14 teeth with just 4 dental implants. Four titanium posts are inserted to provide support for a stationary dental bridge with 10 to 14 teeth.
Discomfort post-procedure is quite minor and can be handled without the need for any medication. Nevertheless, a small amount of Tylenol or Aleve can be effective if necessary. You will also receive a prescription for antibiotics to reduce the risk of infection at the surgical sites.
Eating with All-On-4 implants might seem strange at first, but it is important to be patient and chew slowly. Make sure to apply equal pressure on both sides of your mouth to keep it stable and prevent any discomfort.
The complete process of the All-on-4 dental implant usually requires multiple months to finish. Patients should anticipate the process to last around four to six months, starting from the first consultation to the final placement of the prosthesis.
The All-on-4 implant overdenture should not be loose. It should be relatively simple to solve the issue, which is a positive aspect. It is recommended that you see your dentist quickly to prevent additional issues or discomfort. Your dentist should have the ability to quickly adjust it in the clinic.
An innovative treatment option includes the All-on-4/Teeth in a Day procedure. Yes, ashford dental centre can potentially swap out a complete set of teeth in a single day using only four dental implants!
All On 4 involves using only four implants to replace either the upper or lower set of teeth in a dental implant procedure. These four implants provide support for securing a new set of permanent teeth in place.
