Phase 1: Consultation

Phase 2: Surgery

Once the site is anaesthetised, we will do an osteotomy (space for the implant to be placed) at the implant site. The implant is then gently placed into the site and covered for protection.

If you require an immediate tooth replacement (e.g., where the missing tooth is visible or is in your smile line), we will place a temporary tooth over the implant. The temporary tooth is polished and smoothened to give a natural appearance and comfortable bite.

Phase 3: Prosthesis

As implants typically take 2-3 months to integrate with the surrounding bone, the permanent prosthesis will be done 2-3 months after the surgical phase.

Once we can confirm that the dental implant has integrated, we will take an intra-oral scan of the implant and your bite. A permanent crown, which is fabricated in our laboratory, will then be screwed onto the implant.

The new crown serves as a brand-new tooth. You can use it to bite and chew on anything. You can clean it and floss around it like a natural tooth. It will look and feel exactly like a natural tooth.

Follow-up and post-operative care
