I’ve been having a persistent toothache for a few days, but now the pain feels more intense and seems to spread to my jaw and ear. I’ve also noticed swelling on one side of my face and a bad taste in my mouth that won’t go away. Yesterday, I even felt slightly feverish and tired, which is starting to worry me. I’m concerned that the infection may be getting worse and not just limited to the tooth anymore.

Signs that a tooth infection is spreading can include facial swelling, fever, difficulty swallowing, swollen lymph nodes, increasing pain and even trouble opening your mouth. In more serious cases, you may feel unwell overall or notice pus discharge. A spreading infection should be treated urgently to prevent complications.

At Ashford Dental Centre in Singapore, Our dental team provides prompt assessment and emergency treatment for dental infections, including root canal therapy or drainage when necessary. Early intervention can stop the infection from spreading and help you recover quickly and comfortably. If you notice these warning signs, it’s best to seek professional care as soon as possible.
