Can a cracked tooth wait until the next day?

I suddenly felt a sharp pain when biting down on food and later realised part of my tooth feels rough and slightly cracked. It hurts when I chew, especially on one side and I’m worried it might get worse overnight. I’m unsure whether this is something that can wait until the next day or if I need to see a dentist immediately. The discomfort isn’t unbearable yet, but I’m anxious about possible infection or further damage.

In some mild cases, a cracked tooth might wait until the next day—but it’s risky to delay, as cracks can deepen quickly and lead to infection or severe pain. At Ashford Dental Centre, prompt assessment ensures the crack is identified early and treated before complications arise. Our experienced dentists use advanced diagnostics to provide quick relief and tailored solutions, whether it’s bonding, a crown or further care. Seeking timely help not only reduces pain but also helps save your natural tooth effectively.
