I've been noticing some slight sensitivity between my teeth while brushing and sometimes when I eat sweets. I'm worried there might be early cavities forming in those hard to see spots. I want to know how a dentist can check for these issues before they get worse.

They may use a small probe to gently check for soft spots or rough areas on the tooth surface. Additionally, bitewing X-rays are often taken to see cavities that are not visible to the naked eye, allowing for early intervention before decay spreads.
